Aleksandra Lukina, in residence at UW-Madison during fall 2017 and summer 2018, recently received her PhD from Saint Petersburg State University. Her scientific interests are mostly associated with labor economics, socioeconomic inequality, and economic growth theory. Her planned research is to study income distribution dynamics, with application to Russia and possibly other Post-Soviet states. In particular, she is interested in the dynamics of the factor shares of capital and labor, and she wishes to investigate labor income share dynamics using formal models of economic growth.
